From Philly comes the sunny pop of Canadian Invasion, with sparkling Beach Boys harmonies on lush arrangements. Bandcamp New & Remarkable Sep 24, 2022 A trio of sunny, orchestral alt-rock songs from this Philadelphia band gets a remake 16 years after their recording. Bandcamp New & Remarkable Aug 7, 2022 Professionally mastered, both sound better than ever. For beginners, they will sound like full and complete albums, and old fans will definitely find new things to enjoy. “Trick” manages to combine melancholy and disturbing strangeness with a strange and uplifting sense of hope. It begins with “Memory,” a song about waiting for a bag and video games, and ends with “Change,” which is essentially a conversation with an old friend about the constant and unstoppable passage of time and its impact on friendship and love, followed by the beautiful sinuous piano interlude of “Clouds.” After the resounding success of last year`s groundbreaking album “DSU”, which allowed Alex G`s name to be carried in excited whispers around the world, “Trick” and “Rules” were treated professionally. Originally released on Bandcamp a few years ago, these albums are the ones that helped Alex G gain such a large and enthusiastic online fan base. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage distribution by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system takes into account, for example, the current rating and whether the reviewer purchased the item on Amazon. It also analyzed the reviews to verify reliability. In the more than 30 tracks included in “Trick” and “Rules, one song that still stands out is “I Know Now”. Lasting just over a minute, it squeaks in action and a warm and friendly bass line accompanies the words “I know what I want now”, which are repeated over and over again.

It has a strange and irreplaceable beauty. It kind of makes you feel something in just over a minute, with just six words. It sounds like a revelation: Alex Giannascoli, who was sitting in his dormitory three years ago, suddenly saw his entire future flashing before his eyes. A bright sun shines through the window and bathes it in light. “I now know what I want.” Rules, one of the debut albums by incredible Philadelphia singer-songwriter Alex G, is once again available on vinyl. Alex`s third album was originally released digitally on his bandcamp itself, but received the physical attention it deserved after the release of his groundbreaking fifth album DSU, and was remastered and released on vinyl for the first time in 2015. With three more original albums released since then, Alex`s iconic fan base, which includes Frank Ocean, continues to grow, and Rules remains a firm favorite as more and more fans discover his prolific catalog. Songs like “Mis,” “Message,” and “Sandy” are infused with Alex G`s incomparable personality and show a serious talent for writing melodic songs under unconventional guitar lines and fuzz scribbles. These early records only confirm that Alex G is one of today`s most distinctive American musicians. Every track on this album is perfect, pre-order 10/10 elias: scheduled to be delivered in late August – early September Black Vinyl + Bonus 7″ including “Sandy” and “Good” “Rules” is a slightly looser, less claustrophobic record that is inspired a little more by Alex G`s alt-rock sensibility of the 90s. Although it`s a mostly guitar-driven album, it`s `Mis` which is my most notable track. The slow and awkward piano accompanies a nostalgic song that grows and develops in the space of about three minutes; It`s just a really well-written song.

If Giannascoli took a cup of gravel and gargled it, he might even look a bit like Tom Waits. The inclusion of “Adam” and “Sandy” as bonus tracks on these albums is also a real treat. “Sandy” was the first song uploaded to Alex G`s Bandcamp, and it`s still one of his best.
